Ferriprox® can now be used when standard therapy is inadequate, intolerable or unacceptable.*

Based on published literature (1-6), inadequate, intolerable, or unacceptable standard chelation therapy may result in:

  • Growth retardation
  • Bone changes
  • Moderate/severe reactions at the infusion site
  • Ototoxicity or retinal toxicity
  • Lack of compliance
  • Cardiac MRI T2* less than 20ms
  • Inadequate control of body iron load

Inadequate - Does not fulfill a need or requirement, insufficient
Intolerable - Unable to accept or endure, unbearable
Unacceptable - Not conforming to standard usage, unpleasant, displeasing
